Micro Magics at the Rick Pond. Sunday 14th November 2010

        Mike Weston very kindly drove all the way from Swanley MYC to demonstrate  Micro Magic yachts sailing on the Rick Pond. He brought a van load of these little beauties and there was an excellent turn out out of club members, on what had proved to be a horrible day weather wise, to take the opportunity to sail them.

            With winds in the 3-8mph range, the MM's performed brilliantly. They sail much better than many of us had expected. They point well, broad reach well, run a treat, and are predictable in their  handling. With a small course set, excellent racing is possible and they are great fun. A lot of interest was generated for having one, so let's hope that MM racing at HCMYC catches on and brings in more sailing members.
